I’m about to purchase a new car. I should be able to get a fixed rate of no higher than 6%. I have a few thousand in CC debt at 11.5%. Should I take a higher amount on my car loan to totally pay down the credit card? I’ve calculated the extra in the monthly payment and it’s less than what I’m paying on the card. However, I’m worried there are some other drawbacks I’m not realizing. Thanks
I would pay off the card first if I had a choice.
However, my car is very close to dead and I need a new one (not new new but still need a loan).

Ok, I’m 24 years old. I’ve never had a credit card, by choice. I’ve been trying to keep my debt down so that when I’m married and start a family we won’t be drowning in debt. I’ve made it fine until now.
I’m in a position where I need at least 0 (preferably more) FAST. I have no one who I can turn to and ask for the money. And it’s for rent, so obviously you can see that it’s important. I have a job but I don’t start it for a couple of days. So I know I won’t get my first check in time to cover these expenses.
Basically I’m brainstorming how I can come up with this money in the way that will cause the least financial trouble down the road. The only ideas I have come up with are to either:
a) use a credit card, or
b) payday loan.
I am scared of payday loans, even though I have friends who have gotten then and said it wasn’t that bad. I’m also scared of credit though, because I’m not an expert in it. And I’m not sure how it would work if I charged 0 so soon.
Please give reasoning. It would be greatly appreciated. The second person said "Do NOT pay your rent with your credit card." But darling, you gave no reason and I’d like to know why. I am only talking about 0. Is that really so bad?
It’s already late. My landlords already been understanding. And they haven’t been evil about it (yet). They seem like nice people, but I don’t want to try their patience. I have paid a small amount on this month’s rent, but haven’t been able to pay the rest yes. It’s already almost 2 weeks late.

I have a bank and checking account with Bank of America (I got one on July 22nd, so it’s a new account), but I tried applying online for their personal loan and they still denied me (even with a cosigner), even when they didn’t even ask on the form of how much I want to borrow. I heard that payday loans (cash advances) suck as some of them are traps and you usually need to pay it back in full in 2 weeks. I have no credit history and I’m trying to build one. I have 000 credit card loan. It is hard to manage all of them.
They are high interest rate. Is there any personal loan out there
which will be lower interest rate and I can pay one creditor….
I have good job but this credit card killing me.

I apparently have REALLY bad credit. My lease is up at my apartment and I am looking to move. I put in an application for an apartment today and was denied because of my credit. I have never had a problem getting an apartment before, I have lived on my own in apt’s for 5 years and never paid rent late, never broken a lease, and never left damages. I make ,000/year and could not get approved for a 0/month apt. I have been at my job for 6 years, and I am 24. Is this right? Should I keep looking? I need 10K$ loan for my personal
My credit union can get me a personal loan at rate of 9.50% fixed
But I have Credit card from credit union which is 7.5% variable ( 25$ annual fee ).
I am planning to close the loan in 12 months time frame.
Which one do you think is better?
Any traps on credit card?
Do you think i should go with credit card loan?

I thought there were places that would do my taxes, see what my refund calculates out to, and give me a check the same day and then have my actual refund directly deposited to them (the company) so there was no need to do credit checks, etc., but every place I’ve found so far processes tax refund advances like an actual loan where they perform a credit check and charge interest. Is there any place that will give me my refund right away without the hassle of a credit check? I know for sure I won’t be approved for any type of "loan" and I need the money fast!!! I’ve never had to deal with this before since I’ve always done my own taxes and have never needed the money right away, but this year I’m having some money issues (like almost everyone else in the country) and I need my refund as quickly as possible or my husband, my 2 year old daughter, and my 7-month-pregnant self might be sleeping in a house without electricity for a week until I get paid again. I’m trying to avoid getting a payday loan as I know the interest rates are astronomical for those. HELP!!! I swear there are places that give you an early refund check without credit checks, but I simply cannot find one anywhere online!!
