I have a H1-B visa that is still good for 2+ yrs and I am marrying my fiance (US citizen) this September in the US. I really don’t like my job and would like to leave my employer as soon as possible, so I’d like to know how long do I have to wait to be able to quit my job (or change to another employer) once I am married?

        Hi,

I just got accepted into PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Tax Associate for the International Assignments Services (IAS) division and I have a few questions related to H1B:

        1) I plan to go to the US to take a Masters in Accounting or Taxation in about 1-2 years’ time, and thus I was wondering if it would be easy to find a job that sponsors me H1B.
        2) Are tax jobs hard to find in the US (assuming I don’t get some form of internal transfer but I go to the US to do a Masters, get OPT then hope to get H1B)?

        Cheers!
Would be great if anyone could give some insight. My email is hideaki_o_o@yahoo.com thanks

I am working in the United States on H1b visa and currently being billed at 76$ an hour to the client, Can any body tell me what should be the salary levels I should seek from my employer.

My employer bills my client @76 USD per hour , I also generate overtime for him and get paid by the usual hours rate agreed between him and me which is way less.

I understand that the employer has all the management and other expenses to take care but what would be a decent cut which he should take from the hourly billing I generate. I have a family of 3 (incl myself) and the medial insurance is paid by employer.

Request factual answers from H1b holders or employers, or those who understands the compensation structure for H1b employees
