Need some advice on loans and cashing out IRA
i am unemployed and have been for a few months. I am looking for a job still, but now my lease is up & my boyfriend and i are moving to a new apt. in a few short weeks. I need to come up with around ,500.00 FAST. even if i land a job tomorrow i probably won’t earn enough $ in time.
SO….. i have an IRRA (i rolled over my 401k from a previous employer into the irra) that i can take an early withdrawal from but there is a 10% penalty on top of the 20% taxes they take out when you withdraw early. Do i have any other options? Is there a bank loan i can get being unemployed, or some other way i can handle this? can i maybe get a loan using my car as collateral or something like that? I have no idea what to do, i’ve never been in this type of situation and am DESPERATE for advice. thank you in advance to anyone willing to share some ideas with me

So, I need a one time/short term loan, but am unemployed (was receiving unemployment from the state), have terrible credit, and my only asset is my paid-for auto (2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse). I just found out I owe 00 in taxes for last year, due to my income from my [now defunct] partnership being listed as a "Guaranteed Payment" instead of a passive, capital draw (loan from the company). I disagree, but getting the investor/partner to amend the K1 in my favor is unlikely, as poor records were kept and this K1 favors him as far as tax deductions go. And I’m probably not going to be able to fight him.
I’ve heard the IRS works with people in these cases. I’m 24, unemployed, don’t own a house, have ,000 in credit card debt. I’ve got about ,000 cash in hand, but I’m moving next month and half of it’ll be gone within 6 weeks. Do you think the IRS will settle with me? And how much, realistically, can I expect the IRS to knock off of that amount? How do I go about negotiating a settlement with the IRS after my return is filed so I don’t get penalized. Also, H&R Block wants 8 to do my taxes? Is this excessive? Jackson Hewitt told me they couldn’t do it, period. Thanks!

Hi. I want to buy a small vacation home in Puerto Rico. PR is a commonwealth of the US, so I beleive the same rules apply. The house is really cheap (60k) & I need to get a mortgage loan for it. My family is from Puerto Rico. I know the cost of houses over there. 60k is cheap for a house over there. PR is almost as expensive as the US as far as hopmes go. PR is NOt a 3rd world country. It is the ricjest caribbean island.
No I do Not want to buy a mobile home! I was only looking at mobile homes for this loan, lol.
& yes I know its not good to buy a house w/o inspection, I will get 1 of my own; however I just dont have the time for the dozens of inspections that come along w/ a mortgage loan. Atleast thats what they made me do for my home in Phila.
Thank you Lissy. Yes my mother in law already went to the home last week & said it was in great condition. It is all cement & sturdy. & also I will go to see the home before I sign off all the papers.
